A republican scientific-practical conference was held at the Research Institute of Criminology of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the topic "Actual issues of combating cybercrime in modern criminology: problems, best practices and scientific-practical solutions".
The event was attended by high-potential experts and scientists of the Prosecutor General's Office, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Digital Technologies, as well as law enforcement agencies and prestigious educational institutions of the republic.
Within the framework of the conference, the modern trends of cybercrime, mechanisms of cooperation between state and non-state structures in ensuring information security, ways of strengthening cyber security in the international experience, strategies for preventing crimes in the digital space, and the possibilities of applying advanced technologies to investigation and inquiry processes were discussed, - said Major Lochinbek Atoev, head of the Cyber Security Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications. - Such conferences serve to exchange theoretical and practical knowledge of experts in the fight against cybercrime and prevention of this type of crime.
It was decided to prepare a separate information-analytical document in order to officially publish the scientific conclusions and practical proposals developed on the results of the event, as well as to be presented to the bodies responsible for the priority areas related to the conference topic.
