My parents were good people. My father was a driver, my mother was a housewife. I was the middle child. My classmates and I first tried smoking cigarettes, then nos. When we went to bars and cafes, young men four or five years older than us offered to try smoking cannabis. We found money and bought it. We liked the taste, and in the end we became its slaves. I didn't listen to my parents. I used to hide from them. Even when I got married and had a child, I didn't think about it. I broke up with my family. I made one of my children a living orphan. I lost sight of my brothers and sisters. The reason is that I failed to take money from them for medicine several times. Then they stopped lending... 

I won't go near this street anymore. But where are the parents? Where is my beloved, my sweet child? My soul-livers? Now I am approaching forty years old, suffering from incurable pain, and I feel that my life is coming to an end. What will be left of me?... (tears came to his eyes).

- This young man is originally from the city of Tashkent. He left his home because of drug addiction. It was discovered that he was a drug addict while living in the city of Jizzakh, and he was forced to undergo treatment by the internal affairs officers. Patients are treated for alcoholism, drug addiction and poisoning in the 98-bed hospital. Each of the medical, psychological and social measures has its importance here. The most important thing is not to despair, not to hide the pain, but to strive to get rid of it. This is a treatable pain. A person can overcome any pain with his strong will, - says Captain Orolbek Abduazimov, inspector of important tasks of the Juvenile and Youth Group of the IIB JXX HPB of the Jizzakh region. - Today, 33 drug and alcohol addicts were placed in this institution for compulsory treatment in two months of this year. Collaborative measures are being taken to help them find a cure not only medically, but also through strong will and psychological support.

Sports competitions, meetings, seminars, debates are organized between educational institutions and the population during the complex preventive measures "Prevention of the spread of drug addiction and psychotropic substances among young people". Propaganda work is being carried out to highlight the tragic consequences of drug addiction. In 565 general education schools, 31 technical schools, higher educational institutions and 304 neighborhoods of the region, promotional events, roundtable discussions and meetings aimed at preventing drug addiction among young people were held. A visit of students of higher education institutions to address-colony No. 29 in the city of Jizzakh was organized, and live examples of the fate of people who committed drug crimes were presented. In the process, impressive explanations are given about the serious consequences and terrible complications of drug addiction, and the chain of drug addiction and strong psychotropic drugs leading to drug addiction is discussed.
