A few days old baby was left by his mother in one of the garbage cans on the streets of Florida. Little Freddy was taken to the hospital and 13 days later he was adopted by a family in Quincy. Despite having a daughter, Nathan and Betty Figgers decided to adopt her after hearing about an abandoned child on the news.
13-year-old Freddie got his first job at a computer repair shop. He founded his first company, Figgers Computers, at the age of 15. At the age of 17, he had 150 customers ordering servers and sites for data storage.
Later, Freddie tracked down his birth mother and decided not to see her again after finding out that she was a drug addict. When our hero was in his 20s, his father was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. Freddy then developed a GPS tracker with communication functionality and placed the device in his father's shoe. That way, he would always know where his father was. Later, this device served as a lifesaver for many people suffering from dementia.
By the age of 25, Freddie Figgers had developed more than 80 software applications and obtained five patents. He founded a charity that provides scholarships to underprivileged students, helps the homeless, and supports victims of natural disasters. Thus, the once abandoned child became one of today's successful businessmen.
