As life goes on, charming, intelligent, beautiful women with their care, kindness, generosity of heart maintain purity, honesty, sincerity and justice not only in the family, but also in the whole society. After all, when the great sages gave the most suitable definition to the Motherland with the word mother, such a deep meaning is embodied.
Honoring women is a virtue that has risen to the highest level of value for our nation and people. Because as much as we honor women, if we honor them as the lamp of our life, the flower of our life, then we honor our family and our Motherland.
It is gratifying that today in our country the attitude towards them is higher than ever. Ensuring the interests of women, who make up half of the population of our country, and strengthening their place in the life of society has become one of the priorities of the social policy of our country. In response to this, the women of our country make a worthy contribution to the development of our country in various fields and industries. In particular, in 2017, the average number of women in management was 20%, but now this number has reached 35%. Women make up 38% of the deputies of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis and 27% of the members of the Senate.
It should be noted that in recent years, special attention has been paid to quality education of women in our country. For example, the fact that more than 52 percent of university students in our country are women, more than 6,200 women are engaged in scientific activities, and 25 percent of scientific developments are created by our women scientists - this indicates that their position in society is getting stronger. After all, as the President noted, "There will be peace and development in a country where women are educated and professional. A nation whose women are enlightened will surely be happy." The practical expression of these words is clearly visible in the image of our women who, with their intelligence, knowledge and talent, are effectively working in all spheres of the state and society, who are raising the flag of Uzbekistan high in prestigious sports competitions, international contests in the field of culture and art. In particular, Diyora Keldiyorova, the holder of the honorary title of "Honored Athlete of Uzbekistan", the champion of the Paris-2024 Olympics, Diyora Keldiyorova, the famous microbiologist Dilfuza Egamberdiyeva, who was awarded the prestigious Carlos Finley International Prize of UNESCO for her scientific research on the cultivation of fertile crops in saline soil, are examples of the heart and hard work of an Uzbek woman. It is not an exaggeration to say that it is a fruit. The opinion expressed by the head of our state that "Our intelligent, educated and talented women are becoming role models in all spheres of the state and society" is a high assessment of the work of our sisters who are enthusiastically pursuing their bright goals.
When do women's eyes smile? When he sees respect and honor. But it is clear that one inappropriate word, a cold look, a hand extended to a woman will turn her life upside down. It is noteworthy that in our country, in addition to establishing equal rights of women, turning them into active members of society, ensuring that they have their place in social life, serious work is being done to protect them from harassment and violence.In this regard, the decision of the President of May 10, 2024 "On additional measures to improve the provision of social services to victims of oppression and violence" serves as a legal basis.
Today, the joy of this world is embodied in the smiles of girls who have blossomed, in the faces of mothers who kiss their children, and in the words of grandmothers whose prayers are connected with wishes.
